Welcome to Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées

Just down the road from Lyon, southern Beaujolais is a lively and luminous region, dotted with ochre-yellow stone built villages that reflect the sun. This stone produces a whole array of warm sundrenched colours giving originality and charm to this area of the Beaujolais region. This unique building material is to be seen everywhere. It has been used to build the houses and castles, the churches and washhouses, the wells and little walls. Around forty vine circled villages sometimes hill-top perched are well worth a visit, never forgetting the warm welcome you will get from our winemakers.
Since October 2010, the Golden Stones Beaujolais area and its villages have the label "Vineyards and Discoveries", it is decerned by Tourism and Agriculture Ministeries.
