Let's go to Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées

Just down the road from Lyon, Southern Beaujolais is a lively and luminous region, dotted with ochre-yellow stone built villages that reflect the sun. This stone produces a whole array of warm sundrenched colours giving originality and charm to this area of the Beaujolais region. This unique building material is to be seen everywhere. It has been used to build the houses and châteaux, the churches and washhouses, the wells and little walls.
Each of our 45 vine circled villages, with their own beautiful heritage, is well worth a visit. On foot, on horseback, using two or four wheels, a visit to our area is always enjoyable; here you will find a well-preserved setting with hill-top perched villages and undulating landscapes. For people who want to delve even deeper, there is a wealth of things to discover and explore including hidden hamlets, monuments and museums, geological sites, wooded trails and quiet roads, varied leisure activities and a wide selection of sports… Never forgetting the warm welcome you will get from our winemakers who love their work and sharing their joy in it.
Since October 2010 Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées area and its villages are labelised "Vignobles et Découvertes", a label decerned by Agriculture and Tourism Ministeries.
Have a lovely stay.
