Ecomusée « Engrangeons la mémoire »
" The Story of a Beaujolais Family 1914-18 ". A Heritage Centre and museum dedicated to the First World War. Three barns have been converted and each one traces a part of the war from behind the lines to the front line.
Open on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m., all year round, by appointment, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays.
Adults (3€). Children (2€). Groups of more than 5 (2€).

Musée Souvenir & Tradition
A reproduction of farm and village life in the 19th and 20th centuries, in a house dating from the 15th century. Set up in 1988, the Museum of Souvenirs and Traditions is situated in rue de la Chambre du Roy. The building used to belong to the Fort du Chasselay and was altered in the Renaissance. It has since been restored by the Commune with help from the Historic Monuments Commission and boasts some Gothic features and a remarkable spiral staircase.
Ouverture : Open all year, every Sunday from 10h to 12h30 and 14h to 18h. Groups by appointment.
Tarifs : Adults: 2 €, children free.

Musée des Vieilles Pierres
This museum presents the history of the village and the surrounding area by means of a diverse collection of objects: precious stones, documents, everyday things, frescos about the legend of Baboin, a medieval painting, a beautiful collection of old maps and family coats of arms. Go via the lookout tower to see canvases, reliquaries, a 12th century stone cross, a Leduc bronze, gargoyles, liturgical objects and the workings of a 17th century church clock. Admire the stunning view from
the top of the tower.
Open from 1st May to 30th September 2012 : Sundays and public holidays from 14h30 to 18h30. Open all year for groups, by appointment.
Adults 2€. Group rate: 3€ per person - includes village and museum visits.

Château de l'Eclair - Bellojovium
The wine estate here was created in 1871 and is today central to Beaujolais winemaking. Formally a research centre started by Victor Vermorel the estate has now returned to its original experimental function. The 19 ha of vineyards and the winery are helping to secure the future of wine in the Beaujolais. The château is home to a 'wine-tourism' centre, Bellojovium, where you can try 3 different tasting experiences; 'Victor Vermorel and the Study of the Vine', A Marriage of Beaujolais and Japanese Cuisine' or 'Tasting New Grape Varieties' where the emphasis is on aromas...;
Open for groups all year round, by appointment. On certain dates individuals are admitted, more information available on the Bellojovium web site.

Espace de Musique Mécanique
In this 200m2 museum you will discover an amazing array of Pianolas, barrel organs and music boxes which have been loaned by private collectors.... and on Sundays you can see and hear their dedicated followers getting a tune out of them!
For individuals entrance is free at the following times: in April and from 15th September to 31st October on Fridays and Saturdays between 14h30 and 17:30. Closed in November. From 1st May to 15th September open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 14h30 to 18h30. In December open Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 14h30 to 18h30.
Groups by appointment. Free or 70€ for a group guided tour.

Espace Pierres Folles
A geological museum concentrating on the geology of the Pierres Dorées region: geological exhibits include: a new collection of fossils with a giant ichthyosaurus, soil samples, natural ressources, temporary exhibitions. Outside: free access to a geological trail and botanic garden, picnic and play areas. You can book a guided tour of the museum (3/4 to 1h) by appointment, or hire headphones. The museum also organises activities for children and adults throughout the year: eg. Fossil
hunts, themed walks etc.
Open from 1st March to 30th November 2012: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: from 10h to 12h30 and from 14h to 18h - Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (not 1st May):

Domaine Paire - Musée de la vigne et du vin
Hundreds of tools make you discover the history of vineyard and wine through centuries. Jean-Jacques Paire explains you bio agriculture in his vineyard and in his wine cellar, you can also learn how to taste wine.
