Chemin de Fer Touristique d’Anse
This touristic railway was constructed since 1968 by the members of "l'Association de la Voie 38" (now named CFT Anse).
Set off on a 30-minute ride in the countryside on board a train that's unique in France and the exact replica of SNCF vehicles on a 38 cm gauge. The 6 km return journey will take you to a recreational area and lake (Plan d'eau du Colombier).
Rates : Adults (4.50 €). Children from 2 to 10 ans (2.50 €).
By appointment for groups.
Open from 1st April to 31st October : on sundays and break days from 14h20 to 18h.
From June to September : on saturdays, sundays and break days from 14h20 to 18h30.

Plan d’eau du Colombier
In a natural place of 70 ha this lake was a gravel pit converted for swimming and leisures. There is a supervised beach, a footpath which follows the lake, games for children, fitness trail and open-air café. Refreshment area, snack. The place is served by the Touristic Train.
Free access all year round. For swimming : in June : on fridays, saturdays and sundays from 11.30 h to 20 h (supervised swimming from 13 h to 19 h). In July and August: everydays from 11 h 30 to 20 h (supervised swimming from 13 h to 19 h).

Ecomusée "Engrangeons la Mémoire"
" The Story of a Beaujolais Family 1914-18 ". A Heritage Centre and museum dedicated to the First World War. Three barns have been converted and each one traces a part of the war from behind the lines to the front line.

Tour du Télégraphe Chappe
The Chappe Telegraph Tower is a 4m2 square tower built of the local stone, 7m high and topped with a working mechanism comprising 3 mobile arms which transmitted coded optical signals. This tower was put into service on 9th May 1807 and was the 55th in a line of 58 stretching from Paris to Lyon. This remarkable means of communication, invented by Claude Chappe in 1793, ceased functioning in 1852.
Open on Sundays from April to October 14h30 to 18h. Open all year for groups by appointment.

Tour d'Oingt
The 18m high keep was built between 1181 and 1193 and formed part of the second castle built for the Seigneurs d'Oingt. Nowadays the 3 storey tower houses a museum exhibiting fossils, cut stones, ceramics, documents, photos all tracing the history of the area from the middle ages to today. From the top of the tower there is a breathtaking view of the Azergues valley, the Monts du Lyonnais and the Beaujolais. Orientation table. Exhibition: stone masons, tilers and fossil collection.
Open from 15th April to 30th September 2012, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays; from 15h to 19h. In July and August every day from 15h to 19h.
Rates : Individuals: 1,50 €. Free for children under 12 years.
Groups: fixed rate 50 € including a tour of the village.

Espace Pierres Folles
A geological museum concentrating on the geology of the Pierres Dorées region: geological exhibits include: a new collection of fossils with a giant ichthyosaurus, soil samples, natural ressources, temporary exhibitions.
Outside: free access to a geological trail and botanic garden, picnic and play areas. You can book a guided tour of the museum (3/4 to 1h) by appointment, or hire headphones. The museum also organises activities for children and adults throughout the year: eg. Fossil hunts, themed walks etc.
